Classically trained in fine arts, Ashley Ruzich paints with light, writes with light, and pretty much everything else she does obsessively revolves around light. Light dabbles and plays in leaves, it reflects off of specular highlights, and it dances in drawings. Published works include photography, advertising, content creation, photo styling, and accompanying written pieces that cover lifestyle, fashion, weddings, food, and travel. Watercolor, colored pencil, portrait, and commercial photography are her favorite media. Digital painting and drawing, and the thousands of brushes and colors available, are quickly becoming a newfound source of inspiration. Ashley has a bachelor of science degree in photography (the BS vs BFA degree is quite stunning in the idea that photography as a science with its physical properties of refracted and reflected light and chemical properties of development creates this beautiful marriage of science and art) and a minor in art history and ceramics.
